NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- As members of the 914th Airlift Wing walked into the dining facility here February 2, they were greeted at the door by Auggie, a working dog for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Auggie was representing "Paws for Patriots," an organization which unites U.S. military veterans and animals to heal and bond with each other.
"I thought Auggie was exceptionally well behaved and seemed to thoroughly enjoy greeting all the Airmen as they came in for lunch," said Master Sgt. Kevin Nichols, 914th Airlift Wing Public Affairs.
It was a mutually beneficial experience for both dog and each Airmen.
