Representing the 419th AMXS were Tech. Sgt. Daniel Pas, Staff Sgt. Richard Shafer, and Staff Sgt. Elliot Berg. The Reserve Citizen Airman went up against three active duty teams to compete for the quarterly title. The friendly competition tests Airmen’s ability to quickly and accurately load weapons onto the F-35A Lightning II, which is flown by the Reserve 419th Fighter Wing and active duty 388th Fighter Wing here. The event also serves to cultivate teamwork and boost morale. Maintainers are evaluated on the spot, and results are normally announced a few days later. The teams later compete for Load Crew of the Year.
