  • Published
The Air Force Services Activity Child and Youth Programs is pleased to announce the 2017 Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard Teen Leadership Summits. The Classic Summit will be held in Dahlonega, Georgia from July 9 through 14, and the Adventure Summit will be held in Estes Park, Colorado from Aug. 7 through 12. AFR and ANG teen dependents, 14-18 years of age, are eligible to apply. Teens may apply for both Summits; however, they may only participate in one Summit.

Teens interested in applying must complete the electronic application form at: www.georgia4h.org/afrangteensummit/. The selection process will occur through a rolling admissions process. Teens are encouraged to complete their application as early as possible. The deadlines to apply are below:

- Classic Summit deadline is COB Jun 14.

- Adventure Summit deadline is COB Jul 14.

All transportation, lodging, meals, and program costs while at the Summit will be centrally funded. Costs incurred driving the teen to and from the airport, baggage fees, additional spending money for snacks/souvenirs, and meals during airline travel are the responsibility of the family.

Adult chaperones, with military affiliation, are needed to support these youth camp experiences. Interested adults with an interest in working with youth in an outdoor learning environment should complete the Adult Leader Application Package, located at: www.georgia4h.org/afrangteensummit/ by the deadline for each camp.
