Alamo Wing hits the airwaves Published Feb. 2, 2017 433rd Airlift Wing Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND -- Col. Thomas K. Smith, Jr., 433rd Airlift Wing commander, arrived at the KLUP radio station early on Jan. 28 for a unique opportunity to speak to residents of the Alamo city. Smith was interviewed on The Military USA Radio show on 930 A.M. The Answer by hosts Mark Frye, former 433rd AW honorary commander, and retired Air Force Col. Kelley Crooks. The show runs every Saturday from 8 to 9 a.m. and seeks to inform and educate listeners about the importance of the more than 200 military missions in the Alamo City.
