300 Airmen return from Afghanistan Published May 11, 2015 By Bryan Magaña 419th Fighter Wing Public Affairs HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- About 300 Airmen from the 419th Fighter Wing and 388th Fighter Wing returned here today after a six-month deployment to Afghanistan. The pilots, maintenance, and operations support personnel were assigned to the 455th Expeditionary Operations Group. While overseas, Hill's Reserve and active-duty Airmen worked side by side to carry out F-16 missions in the region. The deployment was part of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, which aims to maintain security and stability in the area following Operation Enduring Freedom, which concluded in 2014.
