SAN ANTONIO, Texas --
Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard teens interested
in attending the Air Force Youth of the Year Camp have until April 10 to submit
their nomination packages, according to Air Force Services Activity officials.
One youth each will be selected to represent the Air
Force Reserve and Air National Guard at the Air Force Youth of the Year Camp in
San Antonio, Texas, June 23-26.
Eligible applicants include teen dependents of AFR and
ANG members. Teens interested must complete the electronic ANG-AFR Youth of the Year Application and email it to Penny Dale at penny.dale@us.af.mil not later than the
deadline.
Air Force will announce camp
attendees by May 4. Youths selected to represent the AFR and ANG are encouraged
to attend the AF YOY Camp help in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Clubs of
America Military Youth of the Year program.
All transportation, lodging, meals, and program costs
while at the YoY event will be centrally funded at no cost to the participant
or their unit/base. Baggage fees,
additional spending money for snacks/souvenirs and meals during travel are the
responsibility of their family.
