24 senior officers nominated for promotions

WASHINGTON --

President Obama has nominated to the U.S. Senate 10 brigadier generals and 14 colonels for a Reserve of the Air Force appointment to the next higher ranks.

 

Nominated for promotion to major general are:

 

Brig. Gen. Abel Barrientes, mobilization assistant to the Pacific Air Forces vice commander, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

 

Brig. Gen. Brian E. Dominguez, MA to the director of operations, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

 

Brig. Gen. John C. Flournoy Jr., 4th Air Force commander, March Air Reserve Base, California.

Brig. Gen. Kathryn J. Johnson, director of logistics, office of deputy chief of staff for logistics, installations and mission support, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Brig. Gen. Kenneth D. Lewis Jr., deputy director for partnership strategy/trans-regional policy, Joint Staff, Pentagon.

Brig. Gen. Mark L. Loeben, director of exercises and assessments and senior reserve component advisor to the commander of U.S. European Command, Stuttgart, Germany.

Brig. Gen. Vincent M. Mancuso, MA to the chief of staff of the Air Force, Pentagon.

Brig. Gen. Ronald B. Miller, MA to the commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Shaw AFB, South Carolina.

Brig. Gen. Karen A. Rizzuti, MA to the commander of 24th Air Force and Air Force Network Operations, San Antonio, Texas.

The promotions are subject to confirmation by the Senate.
