307th Bomb Wing leverages new electronic attack transmitter for a $6 million a year savings
The Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) went live against a 93rd Bomb Squadron B-52H Stratofortress at the Claiborne Bombing and Gunnery Range, Nov. 6, 2013, Alexandria, La. The JTE is used against military aircraft to simulate radar surface-to air missile threats, and because of the close proximity of the JTE to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., approximately $6.6 million a year will be saved in fuel costs.
