JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- An F-35 Lighting II fighter jet from the 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., refuels from a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 459th Air Refueling Wing, Joint Base Andrews, Md., over the plains of Texas, March 12.

The tanker met with the fighter jet at 27,000 feet in the air for an aerial refueling mission.
