Commander visits Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- Lt. Gen. James F. Jackson, chief of Air Force Reserve and commander of Air Force Reserve Command, traveled to Youngstown ARS June 7 to take a firsthand look at the 910th Airlift Wing during its monthly unit training assembly.

During the visit, the general met with Airmen, learned more about the wing's C-130 airlift capability and aerial spray mission, and toured the air station's facilities.

His itinerary included a meeting with first sergeants, a town hall-style commander's call and an aerial spray orientation flight.

The 910th AW is one of 33 flying wings assigned to Air Force Reserve Command. The wing is home to the Department of Defense's only large-area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability.
