A 910th Airlift Wing Civil Engineer firefighter pulls a rope attached to a wooden disk buried in a bin of grain Oct. 17, here. The training apparatus is designed to demonstrate the tremendous pressure on a victim trapped in a grain storage unit, adding complexity and risk to rescue operations. As the first product of the Air Force Community Partnership Program at YARS, the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation worked with the Ohio State Fire Academy to bring their innovative grain bin rescue training platform to YARS, allowing first responders to gain potentially life-saving skills. Approximately 50 firefighters from several local fire departments, including 14 from the 910th Civil Engineer Fire Department here, participated. U.S. Air Force photo/Eric M. White
