AFRC leadership visits command's newest wing

Lt. Gen. James Jackson, Chief of Air Force Reserve and Commander, Air Force Reserve Command, and Command Chief Master Sergeant Cameron Kirksey conducted an immersion with the 926th Wing here Jan. 10-12.

During their visit, leadership was oriented on AFRC's newest wing, talking to Airmen in the 926th Operations Group, 926th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, 926th Security Forces Squadron, 926th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 926th Force Support Squadron and 555th Red Horse Squadron. Additionally, they visited Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, for an update on the Reserve's impact on the Remotely Piloted Aircraft mission.

The 926th WG consists of two groups, 12 squadrons and one detachment across the nation. In October 2007 the 926th Group was officially activated at Nellis AFB. It was redesignated the 926th Wing here December 2014.
