Brig. Gen. Laura L. Lenderman, commander, 502nd Air Base Wing, and Joint Base San Antonio, hosted a farewell tour of JBSA, June 5, with the wing’s honorary commanders. One of the stops on the tour was the 433rd Airlift Wing.

Keeping social distancing in mind, the group received a mission brief from the Col. Terry M. McClain, commander, 433rd AW, which covered the importance of the wing’s personnel, capabilities, and mission.

“This is an opportunity for us, as the host wing, to share with our mission partners of the installation, and what JBSA provides for the community and the nation,” said Lenderman.

After the mission brief, the aircrew with the 68th Airlift Squadron led the honorary commanders out to the flightline to tour a C-5M Super Galaxy.

“It’s absolutely amazing, every time I get an opportunity to see what the military does and the way it operates,” said Richard Oliver, Visit San Antonio, director of partner & community relations.
