ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --  Air Force Reserve Command Public Affairs presents A Pilot’s Journey, starring Maj. Jessica Hodson, written and produced by Maj. Christopher “Hercules” Vasquez.

Hodson is a KC-10 Extender pilot from the Air Force Reserve’s 349th Air Mobility Wing, Travis Air Force Base, California who exemplifies our Citizen Airmen. As she juggles the demands of a part-time job as a military pilot with her full-time civilian career flying for United Parcel Service, Hodson reveals the challenges with doing both.

This story takes you on a journey as she flies a military aircraft critical to our nation’s strategic global reach capability, refueling fighter jets in midair as they transverse the Atlantic Ocean enroute to Europe.

A Pilot’s Journey provides spectacular views from the cockpit and the refueling boom. You'll also witness others who are a part of nearly 70,000 Reserve Citizen Airmen who make missions like this happen every day.

The movie debuted at the Theater in the Woods during the EAA AirVenture Air Show, Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 28. A Pilot’s Journey will be released worldwide on YouTube, Monday, July 30.

About Maj. Jessica Hodson:

Maj. Jessica Hodson is an MD-11 First Officer with UPS Airlines and a Citizen Airman in the Air Force Reserve as a KC-10 instructor pilot with the 349th Air Mobility Wing, 70th Air Refueling Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, California. She has deployed to various countries for the AFR during her 10 years of military service. She is also an active member of Women in Aviation International, Women Military Aviators, Inc. and thoroughly enjoys being a mentor and leader to aspiring aviators.
