Luke unit to receive DOD Reserve Family Readiness Award Published Jan. 30, 2008 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Representatives from the 944th Fighter Wing at Luke AFB, Ariz., will travel to the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes Feb. 15 to accept a Department of Defense award for 2007. DOD established its Reserve Family Readiness Awards Program in 2000 to honor programs in its National Guard and Reserve components. Each year these components task units to submit nominations for the award. A selection committee reviewed Air Force Reserve Command's nominations and picked the 944th Mission Support Flight.
