Personnel center expands weekend customer support Published Oct. 1, 2008 DENVER -- Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard Airmen can now get more support on weekends from the Air Reserve Personnel Center's Reserve Personnel Contact Center here. Starting in October, customer service counselors will be available the first three Saturdays of each month to help Airmen during unit training assemblies from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. MT. Although federal holidays will affect the schedule, the expanded service hours will still give drilling Citizen Airmen more chances to speak with a customer service counselor during their UTA weekends. "We're always looking for better ways to serve our customers," said Dave Aldrich, ARPC's personnel services director. "We assessed the UTA programming for fiscal 2009 along with historical customer service calls and determined that providing service the first three Saturdays of each month reaches 95 percent of scheduled UTAs." The center began offering one weekend of UTA support in March 2006. In September 2007, the center began including select subject matter technicians for those areas where frequent questions were received. The coverage expanded in January 2008 to two weekends per month. Airmen can reach counselors by calling 1-800-525-0102 (preferred) or DSN 926-6528. They can always request assistance 24/7/365 by logging onto virtual Personnel Center-Guard and Reserve, the customer service Web portal for personnel support, online at http://arpc.afrc.af.mil/vPC-GR/.
