Air Force Reserve picks top weather people Published April 3, 2009 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Air Force Reserve Command picked its top weather unit and reservists for 2008, according to an announcement in March. The 5th Operational Weather Flight at Shaw AFB, S.C., was named the best weather flight. The 12th OWF at Scott AFB, Ill., had two award winners. Capt. Christopher T. Higgins is the best company grade officer, and Tech. Sgt. Lawrence R. Promenchenkel is the top NCO. Senior Master Sgt. Paul F. Montas from Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va., was selected the top senior NCO. (Air Force Reserve Command News Service)
