A full-time air reserve technician from McChord AFB, Wash., has received the 2008 Air Force Exceptional Innovator Award.

Staff Sgt. Christopher N. Parcasio from the 446th Maintenance Squadron accepted his award in a Pentagon ceremony April 21.

He has had six suggestions approved, saving the Air Force more than $800,000 through the Innovative Development through Employee Awareness program. His achievements include creating new tools, researching component test specifications and finding purpose in supply assets normally condemned.

Air Force Reserve Command officials said Sergeant Pascasio's accomplishments have had a positive impact on the 446th Airlift Wing's mission, enhancing the overall success of the command and the Air Force. (Air Force Reserve Command News Service)
