Blassie takes command at Air Reserve Personnel Center

Colonel Patricia S. Blassie took command of the Air Reserve Personnel Center here in a change of command ceremony Nov. 29, 2010.

She replaced Brig. Gen. Kevin E. Pottinger in a ceremony officiated by Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, commander of Air Force Reserve Command.

Colonel Blassie is the former executive officer to the Chief of the Air Force Reserve at Robins Air Force Base, Ga. General Pottinger is moving to the Pentagon to become the mobilization assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.

ARPC provides personnel and administrative support to nearly one million Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard forces to ensure they are prepared, available resources in the event of a national emergency. The center provides support to reservists and guardsmen throughout their military careers, from initial entry to retirement, including assignments, promotions and separations. ARPC is also responsible for a mobilization resource of more than a half-million reserve personnel worldwide.
