The 477th Fighter Group here has open positions for civilian and military employment. The available positions range from administrative support to civil engineering, offering something for everyone.

The 477th FG is Air Force Reserve Command's first F-22A Raptor unit. As a classic associate, the unit is responsible for recruiting, training, developing and retaining Citizen Airmen to support the 3rd Wing and Expeditionary Air Force mission requirements.

The 477th FG is dependent on reservists, Air Reserve Technicians and civilians working side-by-side with the regular Air Force 3rd Wing to operate, maintain and support the F-22 Raptors assigned here.

Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson is on the outskirts of Anchorage and approximately 360 miles from Eielson AFB in Fairbanks, Alaska.

The group is comprised of nearly 500 traditional reservists, Air Reserve Technicians and civilians. The majority of the group is made up of traditional reservists who are only obligated to serve one weekend a month during Unit Training Assembly weekends or drill weekends and two weeks of annual tour a year.
