Senior officers nominated for promotion

Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced Dec. 8 that the president has nominated nine Air Force Reserve one-star generals and two colonels for promotion.

Nominated for promotion to major general are:

Brig. Gen. Gary M. Batinich, mobilization assistant to the commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Southwest Asia.

Brig. Gen. Richard S. Haddad, director of plans and programs, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

Brig. Gen. Robert M. Haire, MA to the deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Brig. Gen. Robert G. Kenny, MA to the judge advocate general, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon.

Brig. Gen. Michael D. Kim, MA to the director of operations, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Ill.

Brig. Gen. Mark A. Kyle, commander of AFRC's 4th Air Force, March Air Reserve Base, Calif.
