Air Force Reserve Command announces history award winners for 2011

Air Force Reserve Command announced the 2011 AFRC Historical Services, History and Museums Program Award winners March 9.

The award winners are:

Wing history - Master Sgt. Thomas W. Mason, 910th Airlift Wing, Youngstown, Air Reserve Station, Ohio.

Heritage - Headquarters AFRC Historical Services staff, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., for the AFRC Heritage Hall.

Additionally, the 2011 AFRC Historical Services Spirit of the Eagle Award were named in two categories: Category I, for exceptional contribution of significance; and Category II, for notable contribution of significance.

The winners are:

Category I - Dr. Donald C. Boyd, Jr., HQ AFRC history office, Robins AFB, for the 9/11 10th Anniversary ceremony and the ARFC Heritage Hall; Lt. Col. Kenneth E. Tilley, Air Force historical Research Agency, Maxwell AFB, Ala., for area of responsibility deployment and career contribution; Lt. Col. Summer N. Hamdeed, HQ Air Force Space Command history office, Peterson AFB, Colo., for career contribution; and Lt. Col. Nancy M. Dye, HQ Air Mobility Command history office, Scott AFB, Ill., for career contribution.

Category II - Keith L. Barr, HQ AFRC history office, Robins AFB, for the Heritage Hall; Tech. Sgt. Jennifer D. deLucia, 446th Air Wing history office, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash., for AOR deployment; Tech. Sgt. Sa'Maad I. Bynum, 916th Air Reserve Wing history office, Seymour-Johnson AFB, S.C., for AOR deployment; and Lt. Col. Robert L. Young, HQ Air Force Material Command history office, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, for AOR deployment.
