Eighteen young men and women were officially sworn in as the newest members of the Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group during a mass enlistment ceremony here Oct. 13.

The ceremony was part of the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Command's Annual "Coast to Coast Mass Enlistment Ceremony," during which Air Force Reserve units from around the country conduct mass enlistments of new recruits.

Col. Mark S. Larson, commander of the 931st Air Refueling Group, administered the oath of enlistment to the new recruits during the ceremony.

"It's a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to welcome these outstanding men and women into the Air Force Reserve," said Larson. "Today is a day they will remember for the rest of their lives, and it's a pleasure to be able to be a part of this."

The new recruits will soon be departing for Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, followed by Air Force technical training for specific career fields, conducted at various bases around the United States.
