The 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron's firefighters don't hesitate in being in the line of fire when it comes to rescuing people and putting out fires.

The 433rd CES conducted annual live-fire training exercises on an aircraft fuselage simulator May 3 on Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Several teams of firefighters performed these exercises to prepare for real-life situations and with compliance inspections.

"Practice makes perfect," said Chief Master Sgt. Richard Perez Jr., 433rd CES, reserve fire chief.

"This exercise provides an excellent chance for hands on training, it also builds camaraderie between the teams, and more importantly, it (training) makes us more proficient in our firefighting skills."

This training is one of several exercises the 433rd CES will conduct this year.  The firefighters are scheduled to complete a structural live-fire exercise in December 2013.
