A B-52 Stratofortress from the 5th Bomb Wing, Minot Air Force Base, S.D., receives fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., during an air refueling training mission, June 14, 2013.  The KC-135 aircrew was made up of Air Force Reservists from the 18th Air Refueling Squadron, 931st Air Refueling Group here.

There are more than 600 Citizen Airmen assigned to the 931st.  These Reservists work seamlessly with the active duty 22nd Air Refueling Wing in operating and maintaining all aircraft assigned to the base.  The KC-135 provides the core aerial refueling capability for the U.S. Air Force and has been performing in this role for more than 50 years.
