MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- A B-1B Lancer assigned to the 7th Bomb Wing, Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, approaches the refueling boom of a KC-135 Stratotanker from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., during an air refueling training mission June 20, 2013. The KC-135 was being operated by an aircrew made up of the Air Force Reserve's 18th Air Refueling Squadron, 931st Air Refueling Group at McConnell.

Reservists from the 931st ARG are required to maintain the same level of readiness and training as their active duty counterparts. Air refueling training missions are essential to keeping aircrew members proficient in all aspects of air refueling operations.
