The February issue of Citizen Airman magazine is now available on the web at http://www.citamn.afrc.af.mil/. The cover story is about retired Maj. Gen. Joseph McNeil, who, along with three of his fellow students from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical University, staged a peaceful sit-in at the "whites only" Woolworth's Department Store lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1960.

The issue also includes stories about Col. Larry Colby, who recently wrote a fictional book titled "The Devil Dragon Pilot" that features an Air Force reservist as its hero; the Air Force Reserve Command celebrating its 20th anniversary as an Air Force major command; two reservists who worked with an Army psychologist to create a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating post-traumatic stress disorder; unique career opportunities in the Individual Reserve; a Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, Airman who was recently honored by the Junior Jaycees as one of its 10 Outstanding Young Americans; a wingman's role in helping to prevent suicide; a specialized element of trained security forces members known as Phoenix Ravens; and a recent effort by an AFRC senior leader to promote the benefits of serving in the Air Force Reserve to students of historically black colleges.
