Former AFR commander passes
Maj. Gen. (retired) Homer “Pete” Lewis, 96, who served as Chief of Air Force Reserve and Air Force Reserve commander simultaneously, passed away Oct. 21, 2015 in Eagle Pass, Texas. “Lewis believed life was a ‘grand adventure,’ and he lived every day to its fullest,” said Lt. Gen. James Jackson, commander, Air Force Reserve Command, “He was a man who was passionate about life and even more about being a Citizen Airman. Our thoughts are with his families and loved ones as we mourn his loss, and we are committed to carry on his legacy of leadership."
