Citizen Airmen dominate 506th ESFS mission
KIRKUK REGIONAL AIR BASE, Iraq -- Tech. Sgt. Michael Yavello, 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron response force leader, reads a post brief to Master Sgt. John Newman, 506th ESFS assistant flight chief, here Sept 27. Sergeants Newman and Yavello are one of many security forces Airmen deployed to ensure base defense. The 506th ESFS, the largest squadron on Kirkuk, comprises almost half of the 506th Air Expeditionary Group and includes both active-duty and reserve Airmen from 32 different home-station units. Both sergeants are deployed from Luke Air Force Base, Ariz.
