Senior Airman Michael Coughlin of Air Force Reserve Command’s 940th Security Forces Squadron presents an Operation Iraqi Freedom flag to Mary Larick, a Carl Sundahl Elementary School teacher in Folsom, Calif., during a school assembly March 19, 2007. The school sent care packages and letters to Airman Coughlin and other reservists from Beale Air Force Base, Calif., who deployed for six months to Camp Bucca, Iraq. Local Boy Scouts showed their appreciation by giving them a flag. During the assembly, the school honored Airman Coughlin by presenting him a patriotic pocket watch for his service to the nation. He attended Carl Sundahl Elementary School, and Mrs. Larick was his second-grade teacher. (U.S. Air Force photo/Stacey Knott)
