March civil engineers remove soil treatment system
Contractors guide a crane-lifted tank onto a truck bed Sept. 22, 2009, at March Air Reserve Base, Calif. The tank was part of the ground water and soil vapor extraction system that was installed on base in 1997. After cleaning an equivalent of 58,000 gallons of jet fuel, the system is no longer needed.
