Chief Master Sergeant Jonathan R. Alejandro

CMSgt. Jonathan Alejandro is Command Chief at 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.  As the Command Chief, he advises the commander on all matters relating to readiness, training, professional development, force utilization, operations tempo, health, morale, welfare, and leadership of over 2,000 members of the wing.  He provides leadership, management, and guidance for enlisted members in organizing, equipping, training and mobilizing to meet home station and expeditionary mission requirements.  Chief Alejandro serves as the functional manager for the group senior enlisted leaders and the first sergeants within the wing.  He also serves as the commander’s representative on councils, boards, and selected events within the military and civilian communities.  

Chief Alejandro enlisted in the Air Force in March 2005.  He completed basic military training in July 2005 and graduated in September 2005 from Health Services Management Apprentice Course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.  His background includes medical administration services in aeromedical staging and aerospace medicine to include reserve liaison duties with technical training operations.  In 2012, he deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and supported medical evacuations.  He has also served as Division Superintendent at Air Reserve Component Case Management and was a Military Training Leader as the Air Force Reserve Technical Training Liaison Superintendent assigned to Directorate of Manpower, Personnel, and Services.  Prior to his current position, Chief Alejandro was the Group Senior Enlisted Leader for the 433rd Mission Support Group where he was responsible for overall management and leadership of the enlisted force for the 433rd Airlift Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.    

 

In his civilian capacity, Chief Alejandro is the Lackland Dental Group Health Systems Specialist at JB San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. He is responsible for over 255,000 beneficiaries with the Defense Health Agency’s largest multidisciplinary dental service.
