Colonel VERNON F. REDDICK

Colonel Vernon F. Reddick is the Director of Safety for Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He is responsible for all aspects of the command’s flight, ground, and weapons safety and mishaps prevention programs. He also advises AFRC leadership on all matters related to risk management and nuclear surety. He provides safety oversight for 35 wings, 10 independent groups, and more than 70,000 AFRC personnel.

Reddick commissioned into the Air Force in 2003 as a graduate of the Air Force ROTC program at Clarkson University.  His career has included assignments as an acquisitions officer, space operations officer, and United States Air Force Academy instructor.

Prior to his current assignment, Col. Reddick served as the as the section commander for Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command.  In this role he was responsible for the health, morale, welfare, and discipline of more than 800 military members assigned to the headquarters staff. He enforced all Uniformed Code of Military Justice guidelines and policies and administers military justice, including judicial, non-judicial, and lesser actions, as delegated by the Commander of Air Force Reserve Command.
