Colonel ANN MARIE MCCAIN

Colonel Ann Marie McCain is the Command Surgeon, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The Air Force Reserve Command is one of 10 Air Force major commands with 70,000 Reserve Airmen and more than 300 aircraft among three numbered air forces, 34 flying wings, 10 flying groups, a space wing, a cyber wing and an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance wing. The command provides support to all the other Air Force major commands and to combatant commanders across the globe.

McCain entered the Air Force in 1991 as an Enlisted Health Services Management Technician and earned a direct commission in the Air Force Medical Service Corps in 2000. She has served as a Squadron and Group Commander both in-garrison and deployed and held positions at the Headquarters Air Force and Combatant Command level. In addition, she served as the Executive Officer to the Air Force Surgeon General and as the Deputy Command Surgeon, United States Africa Command Stuttgart, Germany.

Prior to her current assignment, Col. McCain was the MTF Director and Commander of the 633d Medical Group, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. In this role, she led 1,400 military and civilian medical professionals responsible for ensuring maximum wartime clinical readiness and providing high quality, safe and trusted patient care to 382,000 Tidewater Military Health System beneficiaries.
