2/15/2013 - NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- Edward A. Rath III, Erie County Legislator, presented Valentines Day cards to members of the 914th and 107th Airlift Wings during a presentation here February 14.
The cards were hand-made by participating western New York elementary school children. The "Valentines for Vets" program is in its third year and has been distributing cards to local veterans and those deployed overseas.
"It was a pleasure welcoming Mr. Rath to the base and we thank him, his colleagues, and the elementary students and schools who participated in this program," said Master Sgt. Kevin Nichols, 914th Airlift Wing public affairs. "These cards are very much appreciated by the men and women in uniform, both state side and overseas."
