11/7/2012 - HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 419th Development and Training Flight helps new Reserve recruits start off on the right foot before they leave for basic military training. Each Unit Training Assembly, Master Sgt. Shane Leavitt, 419th recruiter, instructs about 20 new recruits on subjects like Air Force history, chain of command, military acronyms and what to expect during BMT and technical school. Leavitt says he tests the recruits' knowledge through engaging activities and ensures they retain as much information as possible. The flight also has regular fitness sessions ensure the soon-to-be Airmen stay physically prepared for BMT.
