9/13/2012 - ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- A reservist who was deployed to Southwest Asia is Air Force Reserve Command's 2012 Lessons Learned Military Professional of the Year in the field grade category.
Maj. Christopher Clark is the process manager for the 301st Fighter Wing at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas. His award selection was announced Sept. 7.
During the award period, he deployed for 6 months and served as deputy director of the Lessons Learned Directorate, U.S. Air Force Central Command in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn. While deployed Clark coordinated and guided AFCENT's efforts to document and disseminate theater-wide and mission critical observations, best practices and lessons learned from Central Command senior leadership.
His efforts provided Air Force, joint and coalition warfighters with vital information to enhance mission effectiveness and combat capabilities.
The Air Force-level award is expected to be announced this fall at the service's annual Analyses, Assessments and Lessons Learned Symposium.
The award recognizes outstanding Lessons Learned professionals who have demonstrated an enduring standard of excellence with significant and lasting effects on the Air Force, or Lessons Learned efforts and achievements. The 2012 award period was July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2012.
