7/25/2012 - PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Brig. Gen. William Binger, commander, 10th Air Force, Naval Air Station Forth Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, visited Rescue Reservists of the 920th Rescue Wing here July 24 - 25.

Binger devoted a large amount of his visit meeting and talking with maintenance Airmen. Pararescue Airmen gave him a tour of their squadron showing him gear they use to accomplish their missions. Binger was also treated to a flight on an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter from the aircrew Airmen of the helicopter squadron.

"I wanted to meet the Airmen here and understand more of the rescue mission," said Binger who has been the 10th AF commander since last November. "I accomplished that and it was very eye opening."

Concerns and suggestions were brought up and addressed during his visit, and they were well received by Binger.

"I can't promise to change things immediately, but I can promise them that I will engage on issues that can't be solved locally," said Binger.

"I want the wing to know that they have an avid supporter of their mission at 10th Air Force," said Binger.

His command includes all fighter, bomber, special operations, rescue, airborne warning and control, flying training, combat air operations battle staff, remotely piloted aircraft, space and cyber units in the Air Force Reserve Command.
