6/3/2012 - BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- The 307th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Management Flight here has brought home the 2011 Golden Derrick Award recognizing the best fuels management operation in Air Force Reserve Command.
An inspection team consisting of Col. Robert Straw, chief, Logistics Readiness, and John Campbell, chief, Fuels Management Section from Headquarters AFRC at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., observed refueling operations, a refueler checkpoint and conducted fuels facility inspections. Fueling programs were also inspected and the inspection team attended a monthly safety briefing.
"This is another example of our 307th Mission Support Group professionals performing their duties in an outstanding manner," said Col. Kevin Wolfe, 307th MSG commander. "We don't have any full-time personnel in this area, and that makes this honor that much more impressive"
