8/27/2011 - YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- Five North Carolina-based C-130s and their aircrews seeking refuge from Hurricane Irene turned up on the flightline here, August 26, 2011. Four C-130Hs from Air Force Reserve Command's 440th Airlift Wing, based at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina and one C-130J from Elizabeth City Coast Guard Station, North Carolina were evacuated to YARS as a precautionary measure to prevent damage to the aircraft as the U.S. eastern coast braced for Hurricane Irene to make landfall this weekend.
