The widow of the first Chief of the Air Force Reserve visited the 433rd Airlift Wing here March 17. Mrs. Peggy Marchbanks and her family toured the building that bears the name of her late husband, Maj. Gen. Tom E. Marchbanks, Jr., who served as CAFR from January 1968 to February 1971.

This year marks the 29th iteration of the annual Patriot Hook exercise. The Air Force Reserve's 433rd Airlift Control Flight (ALCF) based at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, is serving as the lead agency, while other participating Air Force Reserve units include the 452nd Air Mobility Wing at March Air Reserve Base, California, the 439th Airlift Wing from Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts, and the 315th ALCF from Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina.
