The South Carolina Chapter of the Air Force Association selected a 315th Airlift Wing aircraft maintainer as their 2017 South Carolina Air Force Person of the Yea.r Tech. Sgt. Jason Colon, 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, competed with representatives from South Carolina’s three Air Force & Air National Guard bases.

Tech. Sgt. William Mitchell drills out a rivet on a KC-135 Stratotanker as part of his job as an Aerospace Maintenance Craftsman assigned to the 927th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Mitchell was recently appointed to the Reserve Advisory Council where he will advocate on behalf of all the servicemembers assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command.
