Col. James DeVere, 302nd Airlift Wing commander, talks with Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson on the Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. flightline during her visit, May 22, 2017. DeVere briefed Wilson on several of the Reserve wing’s missions before the secretary had the opportunity to view up-close a portable U.S. Forest Service Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System used during 302nd AW C-130 MAFFS missions and meet with Reserve Citizen Airmen from the wing’s 34th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, 302nd Security Forces Squadron and 302nd Operations Group.
