RED Horse units team up for stateside construction project

A Charleston C-17 Globemaster III approaches to land while members of the 560th RED HORSE Squadron and the 628th Civil Engineer Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, Sout Carolina and the 555th RHS from Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, and the 567th RHS from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina joined forces at Joint Base Charleston to build a 4,800 square-foot preengineered building building to store construction equipment and gear. Rapid Engineer Deployable, Heavy Operational Repair Squadron, Engineer (RED HORSE) squadrons provide the Air Force with a highly mobile civil engineering capability in support of contingency and special operations worldwide. They are self-sufficient, mobile squadrons that provide heavy construction support such as runway/facility construction, electrical upgrades, and equipment transport when requirements exceed normal base civil engineer capabilities and where Army engineer support is not readily available.
