Aircrew Survival

Staff Sgt. Austin Aluis, 315th Operations Support Squadron SERE instructor, assists an Airman with her life preserver moments before the body drag portion of the water survival course June 27, 2015, at Naval Air Station Key West, Fla. The SERE program was established by the U.S. Air Force after the Korean War, and was extended to other branches during the Vietnam War.
