NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nevada -- Two Airmen from the 926th Security Forces Squadron were recently recognized by Air Force Reserve Command for their superior achievement.
Staff Sgt. Stevie Haut was named the command's Outstanding Security Forces Air Reserve Component Airman of 2016 and Master Sgt. Paul Carapucci was named the command's 2016 Outstanding Security Forces Air Reserve Component Noncommissioned Officer in Charge.
"These awards are a testament to the dedication Sergeant Haut and Sergeant Carapucci have to the mission, both stateside and overseas," said Chief Master Sergeant James Loper, 926th Wing Command Chief. "They are two of only 13 security forces reservists and civilian employees individually recognized by the command."
"I'm incredibly impressed every day by the work our members do, and this recognition highlights the impact this squadron has on the command as a whole," said Loper.
Haut is a supply custodian with the 926th SFS, responsible for 1.2 million dollars in deployable assets. He won this award by securing $7.2 billion of joint service assets, more than 3,000 personnel and 500 aircraft, and 7,000 combat sorties with zero incidents.
Additionally, he managed two in-flight and ground hazardous material emergencies, ensuring the safety of all flightline assets and personnel.
Haut has also deployed overseas in support of OPERATION FREEDOM SENTINEL and INHERANT RESOLVE, where he provided security to the largest petroleum, oil and lubricant farm in the area of responsibility, and expedited transfer of more than 54 million gallons of fuel that generated 7,000 sorties.
Carapucci, the 926th SFS' NCOIC of supply, won this award by developing a vehicle search area tracker for more than 500 people entering a deployed base that resulted in 100% accountability and no unauthorized entries.
Additionally, his efforts secured the largest munitions storage area in the area of responsibility that is responsible for 250,000 munitions which enable Overseas Contingency Operations support.
He also filled a critical training shortfall to teach a mandatory Air Force Shoot, Move/Comm course to 50 members, among many other duties.
