The Department of Defense, through the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program, recognizes the top employers of Guardsmen and Reservists each year with the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.

Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis named FMI as one of the 15 recipients of the 2018 Employer Support Freedom Award, signifying FMI as one of the nation’s top employers for National Guard and Reserve members.

FMI Corporation received the 2018 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award Aug. 24, during a ceremony at the Pentagon for the outstanding support FMI Corporation shows their National Guard and Reserve service member employees.

Maj. Jason Snyder, 38th Aerial Port Squadron commander, nominated FMI Corporation for the Freedom Award because his employer supports their military employees. During Snyder’s deployment, the company altered their business operations to ensure return rights to his position. President and CEO Chris Daum accepted the award for FMI Corporation.

FMI Corp. along with 14 other recipients of the 2018 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award joins 250 past recipients of the award.
