Historians attend workshop, take home awards

Air Force Reserve Command historians learned who has the better programs during their annual workshop here in February.

Three people won historical services, history and museums program awards. Senior Master Sgt. Linda Flythe-Bailey of the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C., received the career contribution award. Winners of the heritage project award are Master Sgt. Brady Kiel, 440th Airlift Wing, Gen. Mitchell International Airport Air Reserve Station, Wis., and Tech. Sgt. Glenn Todd, 315th AW, Charleston AFB, S.C.

Another 11 historians received Spirit of the Eagle Awards.

In Category II, notable contribution of significance, the winners are:
Senior Master Sgt. Terry Walhert, 10th Air Force, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Carswell Field, Texas;
Master Sgt. Robert Ritchie, 512th AW, Dover AFB, Del.;
Tech. Sgt. Jeffrey Fine, 944th Fighter Wing, Luke AFB, Ariz.;
Dr. Dixie Dysart, Headquarters AFRC, Robins AFB; and
Eugene Vandeventer, Headquarters AFRC, Robins AFB.

Making contribution of significance in Category III are:

Master Sgt. Debra Norman, 433rd AW, Lackland AFB, Texas;
