Air Force Reserve Col. Jay Pittman, Jr., presents his "challenge coin" July 13, 2012, to Tyler Allison, a general manager with Colorado Springs Utilities, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Allison employs an Air Force Reservist and attended the 302nd Airlift Wing's annual Employer Appreciation Day, which recognizes the support and sacrifices of employers whose employee also serves their country in uniform. Employers were also introduced to the Colorado State Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense volunteer program that facilitates and promotes a cooperative culture of employer support for National Guard and Reserve service. Craig Branning worked for 20 years as a military member and civil service employee in the Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs and Requirements as chief of the strategic basing and total force branch. He passed away four years ago in his office. The conference room where he frequently worked was dedicated to his legacy.

Air Force Reserve couples listen during the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program's initial Couples Enrichment Program class Jan. 30, 2015, in Denver.
