Renowned Rocket Engineer Becomes New Reserve Officer
Dr. Javier Urzay, a second lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve, teaches a hypersonics class at Stanford University. Urzay recently left academia to become the chief of the Combustion Devices Branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory's Rocket Propulsion Division at Edwards Air Force Base, California. He is also an individual mobilization augmentee assigned to U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command as a developmental engineer. (Courtesy photo)
